Enter the Forest of Dreams

Back to Gallery

In 'Enter the Forest of Dreams' a woman leans against (and perhaps becomes!)
one of the trees.

The season is Spring, a time of growth and new beginnings.
She muses upon a primrose growing on the forest floor.
In the Language of Flowers, the primrose means "Dawning Love"
or "I could grow to love you."
Maybe the dreamer who sleeps in this bed will dream of their True Love.

I made this piece in 1999 when I was in Furniture School in Scotland and experimented combining my woodworking and quilting skills.
